Despite lossing to the Blues a 2-1 score line. It was a night of mixed feelings for former Chelsea Captain and Central defender John Terry.
The trio of Petr Cezc, John Terry and Frank Lampard had re-united at Stamford Bridge for the Chelsea-Astonvilla game.
Chelsea legend John Terry revelled in his return to Stamford Bridge on Wednesday night despite Aston Villa suffering defeat.
The former Blues captain was given a hero's welcome on his reunion with a club he made 717 appearances and won five Premier League titles with.
The Aston Villa assistant coach posted on Instagram on Thursday morning to say thank you to Chelsea for the greetings he received.
John Terry wrote:
"Incredible to be back at the Bridge last night and see some familiar faces @franklampard @morriskid @petrcech @chelseafc. 'Very humbled and thankful for the reception I received. Love you all."
It is amazing when you get such Heroic welcome at a place you gave your all.
