Sowore Hits the Streets. Freed from Detention on bail

To still face charges leveled against him in court.


Publisher of Sahara Reporter who had been in custody of the Department for Secret Service DSS has gained an instantaneous freedom after Justice Ojukwu Ordered for his Immediate release.

Femi Falana at about 7pm Nigerian Time had confirmed his client had been released by the DSS and was collected by one of their lawyers.

Notworthty is the fact that it was on third court order that Sowore finally regained his freedom. But this was not without intervention from several intrest groups and fora of the society.

For instance, a group of about 30 women from Ondo state in Sowore's Native hometown had stromed abuja dancing almost unclad with just with wrappers tied and the top part of their chest bare.

To her disgust for disobeying court orders, Justice Ojukwu had ordered the DSS to pay a sum of a hundred thousand Nigerian Naira to Sowore.

Recall Sowore has been in detention for 126 days now after the was whisked from his lagos residence by security operatives.

His offences were charged around treason, money laundering and cyberstalking the President.

Many Sowore fans and suppouters took to the streets and especially on social media jubiliating.
