Senator Dino Melaye, the Popular senator representing Kogi West at the upper chambers of the National Assembly took time out to narrate his bitter ordeals on how SARS operatives layed seige to arrest him at the court Premises in Abuja after he haf met his bail conditions, claiming that 'Angels of the lord' rescued him.
The federal high court in abuja had on thursday arrainged the kogi born senator for framing Edward Onoja, the chief of staff to Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi state.
Recall that there has been a long running stand-off between the senator and governor both from Kogi state.
Narrating his ordeals on the floor of the senate, Senator Dino Melaye was visibly displeased that the APC which he worked for had taken him to court.
"On the 1st of March, I was arraigned by the party I worked for. I was arrainged by government I helped to install. I appeared before the court and I was granted bail," said Senator Melaye.
"Haven been granted bail, I was quickly alerted that there were over a hundred policemen from SARS outside the court waiting to arrest me. When they took pictures of them to come and show me, even if you were going for the head of Shekau, you wouldnt have prepared any better.
I was in that court for hours and they laid seige for hours. Every car coming in and out of the court were being checked. Somehow because I serve a living God, the angels of the lord took me out of that court unnoticed and unhurt. They laid seige for more than five hours after I was resting on my bed.
The kogi senator also called on President Buhari to declare a state of emergency in Kogi state saying it would serve as deterence to Governors who thinks Power starts and ends with them.
