Monitoring the report as it unfolded, Leadership Newspaper earlier had reported that the Federal Government was due to disengage about 200,000 beneficiaries of its running Social Intervention.

Recall that this scheme has generated so much anxiety lately as the first 200,000 intake in 2016 Batch A were stipulated to be Trained and Empowered for 2 years. 16 months after this expiration date, this Batch A still remains on Government's payroll according to the understanding.

Hinging on this fact, the reports had gone further to claim that there was no allocation in the 2020 budget to cater for the wagebill of the 200,000 Batch A 2016 beneficiaries.

Recall that a special ministry had been created to handle the Federal Government's Social intervention scheme..

The assertions from leadership newspaper however did not seem to be from the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster management.

Npower beneficiaries has on several occasions been promised to be transitted into a more productive venture and would not be left to go back roaming the streets unemployed.

One of the Major means of absorbing these graduates was to fashion them into the National Security Architecture master plan as revealed ealier by the Ministry.

Npower beneficiaries would wait for official communications from the ministry before this publication from leadership newspaper can be anything to go by.
