Fresh indications from a dailytrust newspapers publication making the rounds suggest the House of representatives ad-hoc panel has resolved to issue an arrest warrant on the chairman of Globacom Nigeria Chief Mike Adenuga. This was owing to the fact that the Glo Boss refused to honour invitation extended to him by the House committee.
The panel which is reported to be responsible for investigating telecommunications activity within the country said they had no choice after the Glo chairman failed to honour their invitation
The chairman in charge of the committee lamented on how Adenuga's action constituted an affront to the legislature.
It is widely believed records before the panel suggest Globacom Nigeria owes the federal government of Nigeria over N16.7 billion.
In that regards, the report further suggested the chairman of the committee had asked the EFCC and ICPC to go after the Billionaire chairman of Glo.
The panel chairman was said to be particularly displeased to the fact that some people feel too big and above the law, making reference to the Glo chairman.
In his words..
"The amount of disrespect he has for the parliament is unacceptable".
The arrest warrant would still have to be passed to House Speaker Yakubu Dogara to sign the warrant for it to be effected.
It is believed that in the coming days, we would track events as they relate to the Chairman of Glo and the Nigerian house of Representatives.
